I'm a big fan of Pia Wallén's design and right now there's a great article about her in the always so inspiring magazine Milk Decoration. And icing on the cake, La Maison d'Anna G. is mentioned as her only retailer in France! You'll find the famous Cross blankets and trays here.

Je suis une grande fan du design de Pia Wallén et en ce moment, il y a un chouette article sur elle dans le toujours très inspirant Milk Decoration. My shop turns 2! Ok in reality that happened this summer but I thought September was better timing for celebrating so here we go :)

Our Blogger Apartment in Stockholm

J'ai plein de photos à vous montrer de Stockholm, du Salon du Meuble & du Luminaire, mais aussi de notre Bloggers tour. Voici d'abord l'Appartement Bloggers que nous avions aménagé dans les locaux de la fabuleuse agence immobilière Fantastic Frank. Grâce à quelques généreux sponsors et les talents de stylisme d'Emma, "notre appartement" ressemblait à un petit chez soi... L'endroit parfait pour organiser une soirée par exemple, ce que nous avons fait le jeudi soir! Plus de 100 designers, bloggers, journalistes, et d'autres personnes du monde du design sont venus nous voir :)

I have lots of photos to show you from Stockholm, from the Furniture & Light fair, but also from our Bloggers tour. First of all some photos from the Bloggers Apartment that we set up in fabulous real estate agent Fantastic Frank's offices. Thanks to some generous sponsors and Emma's styling skills, "our apartment" felt like a small home... The perfect place for hosting a party for example, which is exactly what we did on Thursday night! More than a 100 designers, bloggers, journalists and other people from the design business came to hang out with us :)

Une grande partie du mobilier et du textile venait de One Nordic Furniture Company, une jeune entreprise finlandaise qui propose une jolie sélection design à l'esprit bien scandinave.

A lot of the furniture and the textile came from One Nordic Furniture Company, a young Finnish company carrying a beautiful selection of new Scandinavian design.

Bang & Olufsen a assuré un son parfait pendant toute la soirée grâce à leur BeoLab18 et BeoLab17 (oui, c'est bien un haut-parleur en bas à gauche!).

Bang & Olufsen provided us with the perfect sound the whole evening thanks to their BeoLab18 and BeoLab17 (yes, bottom left is a loudspeaker!).

Bemz Design Award 2014

Dans le but d'encourager et inspirer des designers textile futurs, Bemz a lancé un concours où les étudiants de différentes écoles de design à travers l'Europe pourraient voir leur création éditée par la marque suédoise (spécialiste des housses adaptées aux canapés, chaises et lits IKEA).

J'ai eu l'honneur de participer au jury français, en très belle compagnie comme vous pouvez le voir ici, et nous avons eu la difficile tâche de pré-sélectionner trois candidats pour représenter la France.

Il est maintenant au public de voter pour leur préféré! Le gagnant de chaque pays verra l'un des ses motifs édité par Bemz et participera également à la grande finale européenne. Le grand gagnant du Bemz Design Award 2014 verra 3 de ses motifs édités par Bemz.

In order to encourage and inspire future textile designers, Bemz has launched a contest where students from major design schools across Europe might see their design being edited by the Swedish brand (specialising in custom made covers for IKEA sofas, chairs, beds and more).

I had the honor of participating in the French jury, in lovely compagnie as you can see here, and we had the difficult task of pre-selecting three candidates to represent France.

It's now up to the public to vote for their favourite! The winner from each country will have one of their entries edited by Bemz and will also participate in the European final. The ultimate winner of the Bemz Design Award 2014 will have 3 entries edited by Bemz.

Formex Day Dream

J'ai enfin eu le temps de trier mes photos de Formex, où j'ai fait un saut rapide la semaine dernière!
Quand je visite des salons en Scandinavie, j'ai dois constamment alterner entre la casquette de bloggeuse et la casquette d'acheteuse. Cette fois-ci, j'étais plutôt satisfaite en tant qu'acheteuse (je vous montrerai dans le prochain article), mais un peu moins en tant que bloggeuse. Bien évidemment j'ai vu de très belles choses, mais de manière générale, j'ai trouvé le salon un peu prévisible et sans grandes surprises... Mais peut-être mes attentes sont trop élevées?

I've finally found the time to sort my photos from Formex after my quick trip there last week!
When I visit fairs in Scandinavia, I constantly switch between the blogger's hat and the buyer's hat. This time, I was quite satisfied as a buyer (I'll show you in the next post), but a little less as a blogger. Obviously I saw many beautiful things, but generally speaking I found the fair a bit predictible and without any big surprises... But maybe I'm expecting too much?

Le thème tendance pour cette édition de Formex était Day Dream, qui nous enocourage à "porter un regard plus méditatif sur la réalité, observer la beauté qui nous entoure et nous ouvrir à la créativité et à l'engagement". Interprété par Jan Rundgren dans l'expo tendance, Day dream avait été divisé en 4 tendances majeures présentées ci-dessous. Je pense que vous captez l'idée générale sans d'autres commentaires...

The trend theme for this edition of Formex was Day Dream, which encourages us to "have a more contemplative outlook on reality, noticing the beauty around us and open ourselves to creativity and commitment". Jan Rundgren interpreted Day dream in the trend zone, and had divided it into the 4 major trends presented below. I think you get the general idea without further comments...

Beaucoup d'objets (trop?) et des nuanciers sympa, mais je me suis pas sentie aussi inspirée que j'ai pu l'être par les expos tendances créées par Synnöve Mork en jan 2012 et sep 2011 par exemple...

Lots of products (too many?) and nice colour charts, but I didn't feel as inspired as I was by the trend zones that Synnöve Mork created in jan 2012 et sep 2011 for example...

Cette fois-ci, Synnöve Mork avait créé l'espace café/restaurant qu'elle a appelé "Back and on stage" - inspirée par un plateau de tournage du type grand hangar au style brut & industriel avec "food trucks"... Très sympa!

This time Synnöve Mork had created the café/restaurant area which she called "Back and on stage" - inspired by movie sets in big hangars with a rough & industrial style and food trucks... Really nice!

Fantastic Frank & Eva Lilja Löwenhielm

Peut-être vous avez déjà vu ceci sur la blogosphère, mais tant pis... Tous les mois, l'agence immobilière suédoise Fantastic Frank invite une personne créative à investir l'un de leurs appartements ou maisons en vente. Ce mois ci, c'est la designer Eva Lilja Löwenhielm qui a décoré cette maison avec en grande parti son propre design. Le résultat est épuré et graphique, avec des douces touches de rose... J'adore!

Maybe you've already seen this around the blogosphere, but can't resist... Every month, the Swedish real estate agent Fantastic Frank invites a creative person into one of their flats or houses for sale. This month, the invited guest is designer Eva Lilja Löwenhielm who has decorated this house with lots of her own design. The result is clean and graphic, with soft additions of pink... Love it!
