Monochrome old farmhouse

Finishing the weekend with this old farmhouse from the 1920's, now a beautiful monochrome home belonging to photographer Magdalena Björnsdotter and her family. Love the b&w photos and the small details that warm up the monochrome palette: dark wood, amber coloured glass, rustic ceramics and rugs in natural materials.

Je termine le weekend avec cette ancienne ferme des années 1920, désormais une belle maison monochrome appartenant à la photographe Magdalena Björnsdotter et sa famille.  J'aime beaucoup les photos en n&b ainsi que les petits détails qui viennent réchauffent la palette monochrome: le bois foncé, le verre couleur ambre, les céramiques rustiques et les tapis en matières naturelles.

Brick & black

Remember what I said the other day about the Scandinavian kitchens going towards darker shades, well that is valid also for the rest of the home. Take this very cool studio flat for sale on Fantastic Frank for example, where the brick wall and the black accents contrast with the white to create a warmer atmosphere.

Scandinavian kitchen trends

Forget the all white Scandinavian kitchen, today's trend is all about adding sober autumn colours to warm up the bright white base. The kitchen cabinets come in grey, black or blue. Dark wood, maroccan inspired tiles and leather details add warmth, and we still see a lot of marble and brass as well.

Oubliez la cuisine scandinave toute blanche, la tendance d'aujourd'hui est au couleurs sobres et automnales qui viennent réchauffer cette base en blanc immaculé. Minna's project and the Safari daybed

Some time ago, Minna from Time of the Aquarius ordered a Safari daybed from my shop to be used in an interior project she was working on. The result is this bright and welcoming apartment filled with beautiful furniture in light wood, soft hues of grey and terracotta and a few black accents. I'm happy to see how well our daybed (2nd photo) fits in too! If you want to know the source of the other products used by Minna, have a look on her blog here.

Il y a quelque temps, Minna de Time of the Aquarius a commandé un divan Safari dans mon shop pour un projet déco sur lequel elle travaillait. Voici le résultat: un appartement clair et chaleureux rempli de beau mobilier en bois clair, des tons doux de gris et terre cuite et quelques accents noirs. Black/white/wood/grey and a green plant

I ran into this beautiful home on Hemnet tonight and I'm pretty sure it belongs to Swedish ceramist Kajsa Cramer (whose stunning ceramics you can also find in my shop). I really like the graphic black & white look, softened by different kinds of wood, shades of grey and refreshing green plants. The house is for sale here.

Je suis tombée sur cette belle maison sur Hemnet ce soir and il me semble qu'elle appartient à la céramiste suédoise Kajsa Cramer (dont les superbe céramiques sont aussi disponibles dans mon shop). J'aime beaucoup le look graphique en noir & blanc, adouci par différentes essences de bois, des nuances de gris et des plantes vertes rafraîchissantes. La maison est en vente ici.
